as mentioned and confirmed earlier it isn't an issue of deltaspike.

can you please try the current snapshot.
if producing a default-instance + logging a warning won't allow to use other
features (e.g. because it fails one step afterwards), we will revert the change.

please file an issue in the issue-tracker of jboss eap and provide your
sample-application there.
