Hi,

After DeviceMap modules were refactored into separate folders like
/clients, etc. everything builds and compiles but
/trunk/clients/1.0/java_w3c_simple.

Since the Java clients were separated and Reza rolled back changes to the
POM (that only worked before the new structure) Maven cannot build the
project:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project devicemap-client-w3c-simple:
Could not resolve dependencies for project
org.apache.devicemap:devicemap-client-w3c-simple:jar:1.0.0-SNAPSHOT: Could
not find artifact org.w3c.ddr:simple:jar:20081205 in central (
http://repo.maven.apache.org/maven2) -> [Help 1]

Nor does this artifact which relies on the (not provided) W3C JAR contain
the notice file we composed together.

I don't want to delete or destroy stuff, but especially for an "1.0" data
repository this intent of a W3C compliant wrapper Reza never finished
properly makes no real sense. If someone wishes to use a W3C DDR compliant
Java implementation, they find that under /trunk/clients/w3c-ddr (which
Maven builds perfectly fine) or if they don't care about W3C compliance,
they may use any other client or write their own.

Leaving it in /whiteboard could allow future use of this idea, e.g. against
a JSON data file, but right now there are neither Java capable resources
nor a real need for it.

Since this is about a non-released (non-working) part of the SVN codebase,
it is safe to assume, a *lazy approval *applies here.

This majority vote is open for at least 72 hours.

Werner
