No, it exists though ProtocolProvider has been moved to
org.apache.mina.filter.codec package while we redesign the API for 0.9 stream.
Please stick to 0.7 stream until we officially release it; it's API is not yet
stablized and may be changed even withn in minutes. I suggest you to use
0.7.2-SNAPSHOT.
