Quoting Fredrik Jonson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hello,
I've just finished implementing a data relaying service using mina,
and I must say that it was a pleasure using mina. Thank you!
Now, I want to get acquainted to Apache Geronimo too - I'm completely
novice there too btw - so I figuered it would be a fun project trying
to deploy my mina service inside geronimo. Letting geronimo deal with
lifecycle stuff, etc.
Strangely though, I've searched but cant seem to find any public
reference that anyone have used mina in gernonimo. Google and Gmane
returns poor results.
Anyway, I'd be greatful if anyone could provide a hint on how to
deploy a mina service in geronimo. Or - if it's a bad idea - why I
shouldn't.
Thanks in advance,

Fredrik,
if not for Geronimo specifically, there has already been some comment
about integrating Mina-based app and J2EE.
The response is JCA if you want to be portable. Otherwise, you can
probably deploy you app as a GBean.
In both cases, it is not specific to Mina. Had you chosen another I/O
framework, you would face the same problem.
For info, I have deployed a Mina-based app into JBoss as kernel
service. And as said, the difficulty was not related in any way to Mina.
Best regards,
