Couldn't get a clean stand-alone ADS 1.0.x (1.0 trunks) to bind (after
changing only UberjarMain to correctly read my log4j.properties) and turned out
to be due to an NPE, patch attached. I looked at the SVN log for the file in
question and gather it must have been like this in 1.0 too.
