You bet it's not ! OIDs are following this syntax :

[0-2]\.[0-9]+(\.([0-9]+)*

Ok - So

1.1.1.http://maven.apache.org/POM/4.0.0

is legal?

I think this would probably be most ideal, since
it corresponds closely with the namespace "Convention"
used by the model packages in general.
