The schema hierarchy panel is empty

I don't know why, but the hierarchy panel is empty by default. I had to select
the 'Link with editor' option to obtain the hierarchy of the current object.
I would have prefered to see the full hierarchy, and the focus set on the
selected object (the one in the editor panel).
