Hi Pierre,
thanks for your reply. You are right here that the DS can be used with any
other directory server and the default LDAP connection port is 389. I have
found in the basic user guide a example, which descripes the connection after a
fresh installation of the Apache Directory server (local).
You can close this entry, but in my mind a small hint in the documentation
would be nice.
I think people like me, which starting to use the Apache Directory server doing
follow steps:
Installing the Apache Directory server (local) on the default port 10389.
Then using the suggested method from the homepage, to make a connection (with
the Apache Directory Studio).
Installing the studio and reading the documentation ... and then wondering why
the connection cannot etablished.
Of course the documentation is not wrong, but the small hint would nice ;-)
