Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRSTUDIO-107:
-------------------------------------------

Hi Stefan Z.,

I checked the "Root DSE property page" and I would suggest the following:
- Move your contribution (ResourceBundle to translate OIDs to their
descriptions) to the core-plugin.
- Create a value editor based on this ResourceBundle, so that all OID based
attributes would benefit. With such a value editor the attributes
supportedControl, supportedExtension and supportedFeature of the Root DSE would
automatically be displayed like "1.2.3.4 (Description)".
- Remove the tabs Controls, Extensions, Features and Raw from the Root DSE
property page because all the information is already there when selecting the
Root DSE in the LDAP Browser and viewing its attributes. It is just a bunch of
code that is not very useful.

> Enable Select/Copy in Property page of RootDSE in order to copy and paste
> detected OIDs

> Currently, entries in the property page of the Root DSE (controls, extended
> operations, features) are selectable, but it is not able to copy them (no
> context menu, Ctrl-C does not work). It would be very nice, if the user could
> copy the entries to the clipboard, because OIDs make excellent search terms
> (Google etc.), but it is tedious to retype them
> ("1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.101.119.1").
