Server tools dump command broken due to use of old paths
--------------------------------------------------------
Key: DIRSERVER-1252
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSERVER-1252
Project: Directory ApacheDS
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 1.5.4
Reporter: Alex Karasulu
Priority: Blocker
Fix For: 1.5.5
When running the dump command I noticed that it is trying to validate the old
layout of file paths after giving the base path using the -i switch. For
example if I give it /foo/bar it will try to validate that the following
structure exists:
/foo/bar/bin
/foo/bar/lib
/foo/bar/lib/ext
/foo/bar/var
/foo/bar/var/run
/foo/bar/var/partition
/foo/bar/var/partition/schema
/foo/bar/var/partition/system
This is wrong since we no longer use this schema. This whole layout thingy
needs to be seriously revisited along with the code in ApacheDS.java. A mini
revamp is in order to avoid these issues and let the commands work properly.
