Hi hayart, As far as I remember "apacheds-1.5.4-default" should be located at "/etc/init.d/apacheds-1.5.4-default".
You should also try to run this as root: "sudo /etc/init.d/apacheds-1.5.4-default start". One last point that may be the reason why the server does not start is that it requires Java 5 (1.5) and won't run under Java 1.4. Hope this helps, Pierre-Arnaud On Wed, Dec 24, 2008 at 9:54 AM, hayart <[email protected]> wrote: > > ok I have mistake > bash: ./apacheds-1.5.4-default: No such file or directory it is incorrect > because I try to start from wrong directory. > and for the root my jdk version are 1.4, > I try to change it and reinstall again > > > > > hayart wrote: > > > > after start server > > ./apacheds-1.5.4-default start > > following message > > bash: ./apacheds-1.5.4-default: No such file or directory > > > > and log file already commited > > > > > > > > > > Emmanuel Lecharny-3 wrote: > >> > >> hayart wrote: > >>> Hi, I am trying to uninstall Apacheds and install again. > >>> run apacheds-1.5.4-i386.deb ->reinstall, after that > >>> after successfully reinstall try to connect localhost:10389 but give > >>> following exception > >>> > >>> Error while opening connection > >>> localhost:10389 > >>> localhost:10389 > >>> Connection refused > >>> No connection > >>> > >> Did you started the server again ? > >> > >> Do you see any java process running? > >> > >> Do you have any logs available ? > >> > >> > >> -- > >> -- > >> cordialement, regards, > >> Emmanuel Lécharny > >> www.iktek.com > >> directory.apache.org > >> > >> > >> > >> > > it may be helpfull to see reinstall details > > http://www.nabble.com/file/p21156558/Screenshot.png Screenshot.png > > > > -- > View this message in context: > http://www.nabble.com/uninstall-ApacheDS-tp21156450p21156598.html > Sent from the Apache Directory Project mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > >
