Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRSTUDIO-542:
-------------------------------------------
Just to clarify: you want value editors to edit the values in the subschema
subentry, for example such a guy?
attributeTypes: ( 0.9.2342.19200300.100.1.1 NAME ( 'uid' 'userid' ) DESC 'RF
C1274: user identifier' EQUALITY caseIgnoreMatch SUBSTR caseIgnoreSubstrin
gsMatch SYNTAX 1.3.6.1.4.1.1466.115.121.1.15 USAGE userApplications X-SCHEM
A 'core' )
I think we need multiple steps to accompolish this:
- 1st) we need to use a common data model for schema objects in the browser and
the schema editor, so we are waiting for the schma-branch :-).
- 2nd) we should create a new schema plugin (core and ui) that contains all
common schema stuff for both, the browser and the schemeditor
- 3rd) we should extract reusable widgets from the existing AT and OC editors,
so that these wigets could be used in an editor and in an dialog
- 4th) we could create the additional widgets for the other schema objects, and
create value editors and editor for the schemaeditor
> Need some editors for AT, OC, MR, S, NF, MRU, DSR,DCR in the browser

> It would be cool to have some dedicated value editosr in the browser, when
> doing some modification on the schema.
> We have the AT and OC value editor in the schema browser, we could use them
> in the ldap browser. We also have to add those value editors :
> - MR (MatchingRule)
> - S (Syntax)
> - MRU (MatchingRuleUse)
> - NF (NameForm)
> - DCR (Dit Control Rule)
> - DSR (Dit Structure Rule)
> Those are not specifically ADS editors
