Stefan Seelmann commented on DIRSTUDIO-566:
-------------------------------------------
One workaround is to open the AT or OC editor, select the 'Source Code' tab and
copy the OpenLDAP format from there.
But I agree, more export/copy actions would be great. I'd suggest a "Copy As"
sub-menu in the context menu with some menu items:
Copy As >
RFC Format: excluding "attributeType ( ... )", to be pasted directly into
the subschema subentry
RFC LDIF Format: "attributeTypes: ..."
ApacheDS LDIF Format
OpenLDAP Format: including "attributeType ( ... )"
OpenLDAP LDIF Format
SunDS/OpenDS/FedoraDS LDIF Format
Active Directory LDIF Format
This should be possible for a single schema object, multiple selected schema
objects or the whole schema.
Alternatively we could extend the export wizard with a "Save to Clipboard"
option, this is implemented in the Subclipse "Create Patch..." wizard.
> Would be cool to be able to export a single schema object as LDIF or OpenLDAP
> format

> Currently, we can only export Schema Objects as a whole (ie, the Schema is
> the unit), not a single AT or OC only.
> We could not either save it in the clipboard, which forces you to select a
> path or a file, when a paste in an editor would have been way more convenient.
