The Modify operation is quite costly, as we do up to 10 lookup. Each lookup
leads to a ServerEntry clone, a costly operation. If we measure all the time
consumed in such clone operation, it goes up to 84% of all the CPU time.
We can most certainly spare 8 or 9 lookups, speedup the operation by a factor 5
to 10.
