copy/paste of attributes no longer works

I've been running DirectoryStudio version 1.3.0 for ages now and just recently
downloaded and installed 1.5.2. But I found that when I searched for some
records, selected one, then selected one or more attributes in the Entry
editor, selected another record and tried to paste those attributes, it appears
to work - the GUI shows the new attributes but no change is actually made to
the LDAP record. If I press F5 to refresh the record the newly pasted
attribute/value pair disappear.
I'll try to track down the specific release where the bug starts to appear.
