After exiting DS existing searches do not reload

After upgrading to 1.5.3 from 1.5.2 all existing searches disappeared. These
searches were created and renamed for ease of use in researching. These qwre
not quick searches.
Went to back up VM of machine and was able to pull some of the searches out and
recreated the rest.
When ever restarting DS after the 4-5 restart the existing searches disappear.
