I wonder if another hierarchy (DIT structure) makes more sense:
DirectoryService
-> Partitions
-> Indexes
-> Journal
-> Changelog
-> Servers
-> LdapServer
-> Transports
-> Replication consumer
-> Replication provider
-> KerberosServer
-> ...
This way it should also be possible to define multiple directory
services with their own servers.
