Emmanuel Lecharny commented on DIRSERVER-1561:
----------------------------------------------
The best would be to create a new schema for RFC2307, and load it instead of
NIS. It has to be enabled of course.
You can also delete the PosixGroup OC and create it again (with the modified
value), it should work.
The only allowed operation on a schema element are addition and deletion.
Also note that such operation must be done on a disabled schema, other some
strong checking are done and you might see the operation rejected, because it
change the schema in a way it's seen as inconsistent.
> schema modification fails

> After enabling the nis schema and modifying the posixGroup objectclass from
> structural to auxiliary and refreshing the schema in Directory Studio, the
> posixGroup class fails to show when attempting to create a new object until
> the schema cache in Studio is manually deleted (refreshing in the GUI does
> not work).
