Pierre-Arnaud Marcelot resolved DIRSTUDIO-720.
----------------------------------------------

    Resolution: Won't Fix
      Assignee: Pierre-Arnaud Marcelot

Hi Mike,

I believe most of our users our fine with this default setting and Studio has
shipped with this for years now.

Actually, the ability to make multiple modifications and save them later was
not even present in the early versions.

Since we give the ability for each user to choose his appropriate setting,
either via the preference page or via the editor's menu item, I'm afraid we
will stick to this default setting.

Regards,
Pierre-Arnaud

> I'm a sysadmin and I manage ldap servers for a college. I've just installed
> apache directory studio and so far I'm happy with the change from jxplorer.
> One thing I noticed right away is that by default it will submit changes
> automatically after I click off an attribute. This behavior can be changed
> by unchecking the box in preferences -> ldap browser -> entry editors ->
> table entry editor -> Save modifications automatically in single-tab editor.
> I feel it would be best practice by default to NOT automatically submit the
> modification.
> Thanks,
> -Mike
