Environment: Win7 Version of DS is reported to be 2.0.0.v20130517,
which I couldn't find in the dropdown above.

I've set a socks proxy to use for Network connections and checked (as is the
standard) to bypass the proxy for localhost and 127.0.0.1. I also added a third
host for bypassing.
No matter which of the 3 host I used for my new LDAP connection, I always see
on my socks proxy the incoming attempt to connect my host.
