In order to be able to use the posixAcount, you have to first enable the NIS
schema (the procedure is the one you have listed). Although, in Studio, if you
want to see this schema OCs and ATs, there is a trick you have to reload the
schema (click the small icon on the right of the Object Class popup when you
create a new entry).
That should work.
