Ok, I finally understood what was going on... And it's not the first time I met this issue : http://hrabal.blogspot.fr/2011/06/release-issue.html 2 years ago, it was already the same problem, but for some reasons, it get fixed in th emean time, but it's failing again. I updated my /etc/hosts to have svn.apache.org pointing to the svn.us.apache.org IP address.
