Pierre Smits commented on DIR-120:
----------------------------------
I saw that page too.
A lot references to that page. But basically I see that page as the place
holder for the project reference in wikipedia. In fact the first lines point
that out.
But it also references the main two works of the project. I would, at least, do
a short description and a summarized list of features when not having a product
specific page.
Of course, it is possible to adjust/extend that page to include the features of
the main work, but that's having another (important) page to maintain.
On a side note: I would suggest to create and maintain a list of all external
references under control of the project, so that an overview is available (that
can be revisited every time) when information needs to be updated due to
releases and such.

> A matrix comparizon between ApacheDS and OpenLdap could be a very cool thing
> to have.
> Of course, the intention is just to give clues to users about which product
> bet suits their need, and to expose the gaps that we will need to fill to be
> a competitive product.
> I don't think we can do that for other products, because of NDA we may be
> faced with (actually, I don't know if this is possible)
