I like the last image posted (the one with light brown color) I agree that the
left dog should have some opened eyes.
Regarding the message the logo should convey, even if I share some of Pierre's
concern, I think we should also reflect some other values, like :
- we want to provide a Kerberos server that does not scare admin (everyone who
have played with Kerberos know that it's everything but fun to configure and
use)
- when I look at Hadoop logo (http://hadoop.apache.org/), I don't think that it
has a negative impact on the perception of the product
- This is still a VERY young project. It could be interesting to imrpove the
logo with version 2, version 3... May be later we could have a band of dragons
? ;-)
On the cons side, Pierre has already expressed himself, and as I said, he is
not off base.
The biggest pb I see right now is that the logo need to be polished a bit. It's
a bit amateurish (which is normal, I would probably do even worse ;-), and this
is probably one reason it does not convey the 'maturity' aspect. But anyway,
the project is not mature !
