Please try if a workaround from DIRSTUDIO-962 works for you, especially the
{code}-Dorg.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.cairoGraphics=false{code} option seems
promising.
The Eclipse libraries (especially SWT) used by Studio 2.0.0-M8 are just too old
and don't play well with recent Gnome versions. We are working on a release
based on latest Eclipse Luna.
