Stefan Seelmann resolved DIRSTUDIO-994.
---------------------------------------
Resolution: Not A Problem
Sounds like a 64bit / 32 bit mismatch.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin - is a 32bit Java
C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin - is a 64bit Java
I assume Studio is 64 bit and the "old" Java was also 64bit. But new Java is
32bit (x86). Please install 64bit Java instead or download 32bit Studio.

> Key: DIRSTUDIO-994
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DIRSTUDIO-994
> Project: Directory Studio
> Issue Type: Bug
> Affects Versions: 2.0.0-M8 (2.0.0.v20130628)
> Environment: Windows 2008 r2.
> Java 7 update 67 JRE
> Reporter: Joakim Ganse
>
> Had Dir Studio M8 installed and working, updated Java and removed the old
> version. Now DS can not start any longer.
> It can not load jvm.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\client.
> Tha path was also changed from C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\client
> to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\client but that was easily fixed by
> adding the path.
> My temporary solution was to copy the old java from another server.
