Hi all, after almost 2 years I'm very pleased to present a new release of Apache Directory Studio.
There are 69 resolved issues. * Many of them are related to the migration of the build system to Tycho. * Another large amount of issues are related to crashes and installation problems. They are hopefully fixed since Studio is now based on Eclipse Luna and the update site is now a P2 repository. * Additionally multiple issues with ApacheDS configuration has been fixed, so the configuration editor is now compatible with ApacheDS 2.0.0-M20 * For a complete list of resolved issues please see https://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310590&version=12324644 The SVN tag: * https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/directory/studio/tags/2.0.0.v20150606-M9/ Nexus staging repository: * https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/orgapachedirectory-1035/ Distribution packages: * https://people.apache.org/~seelmann/2.0.0.v20150606-M9/ Short explaination to the packages: ApacheDirectoryStudio-2.0.0.v20150606-M9... * ...-src.zip - the sources, what we release * ...-p2repository.zip and ...-p2repository-dependencies.zip - Zipped update side (called P2 repository) with the main Studio features. And another P2 repository which includes dependencies (ApacheDS, API, Mavibot, etc.). Those can be used for installation into Eclipse. The uncompressed content will also be distributed as update site, hence the content is also signed. * ...-linux|macosx|win32*.tar.gz|zip - the Studio product packages for the supported platforms. There are no installers, this is postponed to next version. Please cast your vote: [ ] +1 : release Apache Directory Studio 2.0.0.v20150606-M9 [ ] ± 0 : I don't care [ ] -1 : No, don't release Apache Directory Studio 2.0.0.v20150606-M9, because... Considering the large amount of changes and the complete revamp of the build please review carefully. The build process is not perfect and I had to hack a nasty shell script to create the distribution packages. In the meantime I'll update the website. Kind Regards, Stefan
