Would you use ApacheDS in production, I strongly suggest you have a backup running peridodically in order to reload the backend in case if becomes corrupted. We have added a 'repair' mode to fix a corrupted backend, but t's not a guaranteed solution.
We are working on replacing JDBM completey, it takes time. In any case, you should easily be able to use OpenLDAP in prodution, as we are 100% schema compatible, injecting your data should be a no brainer. -- Emmanuel Lecharny Symas.com directory.apache.org
