Flatpak [1] and Snap [2] are new package formats that bundle all dependencies
in the package. They are available in (almost) all distros, allowing a
developer to create their own release channel (including updates) without the
procedural requirements of getting into a particular distro. (Although that is
still a great goal.)
Would you consider releasing Apache Directory Studio via Flatpak or Snap?
