I wonder how OpenLDAP deal with that :-)
So the way it should work would be to index the requested attribute, and if
this attribute has inherited ones, then those inherited attributes would be
indexed using the parent's index. Internally, when adding a new value, or
processing a search, we should always check if the attribute or one of its
parent is indexed, and if so, use this index. That is not really that complex.
