Status of dark mode in lastest Studio versioin 2.0.0-M15:
* macOS Catalina 10.15.4: works with workaround mentioned below
* Linux (Arch Linux XFCE, Xubuntu 18.04, Debian 10 Buster Gnome) with
Adwaita-dark: works with workaround mentioned below
* Windows 10: does not work
Reason it works for macOS and Linux is that detection of dark mode was added in
recent Eclipse versions:

Some colors are defined in preferences and by default work well for light
themes, but can be manually adjusted for dark themes:
* Attribute colors used in entry editor and search result editor. Preferences
path: Apache Directory Studio -> LDAP Browser -> Attributes
* LDIF color scheme used in LDIF editor, search logs view, and modification
logs view. Preferences path: Apache Directory Studio -> LDIF Editor -> Syntax
Coloring
Both should be changed to adjust to the selected theme if possible, or at least
allow a fast switch.
For Windows it seems to be required to include the general Eclipse theme
selection preference page.
