Hi, Apache Kerby has a minimal version of Java 8. If Apache Directory were to switch to Java 11, I would have to create a profile to exclude the LDAP backend from Kerby if someone wanted to use Java 8 - but that's OK. I could bump Kerby to Java 11 as well, but I'd only do that in a new major version. In short, no major objections to moving Apache Directory Server to Java 11, if there are good reasons to do so.
