Emmanuel Lécharny commented on DIRSERVER-2325:
----------------------------------------------

To configure the logs :
https://directory.apache.org/apacheds/basic-ug/1.4.4-configure-logging.html
To configure the server:
https://directory.apache.org/apacheds/basic-ug/1.4.3-adding-partition.html

Note: you need to use the LdapModify command line utility, that comes with
OpenLDAP.

Also note that OpenLDAP is *still* maintained, but not by RedHat. It's probably
a good idea to stop using RedHat...

> Hi! I am working for the WiderNet, a non-profit organization aiming to help
> people in developing countries by creating offline libraries in the
> communities where internet is not provided.
> Currently, we plan to use *ApacheDS* to replace OpenDS (since it is no longer
> supported). We would like to configure the logging and partition directories.
> For logging directory, it can be changed from the log4j.properties file.
> However, I cannot find where to modify the partition directory. And also I
> wonder how to modify the LDIF file to a running ApacheDS server using command
> line? Is there an LDAP package for windows command line for ApacheDS?
> Any help is greatly appreciated!
