Hi!
This thread has been started 9 months ago, and I didn't intend for it to
last that long...
Anyway, the current news is that Apache LDAP API is ready, so is Apache
Directory Server, and I expect to be able to cut a release in the coming
days.
There are many changes included, the most important is the complete
removal of antlr from the LDAP API, which allows us to build the project
with Java > 11 (the main blocker was the antlr antiquated version we
were using, 2.7.7, that didn't support java 17 and higher).
There are a few things to fix before the release can be done, and that
includes fixing the Jenkins builds as we are using docker images with
Maven 3.8.2 included, while we now require 3.9.
I have also upgraded directory-project with many maven dependencies
updates, and that will be the first release being done.
The other projects will need to refer to directory-project, and I'd like
to bump up as many deps and plugin as possible for them (it's already
the case for ldap api and server).
I'm talking about directory-buildtools, mavibot, jdbm, and of course studio.
I'll keep you informed about the progress!

LDAP API release is pretty much ready, with many fixes, so as soon as
the 4h grace period for the project pom release is gone, I'll prepare
the release.
The next step will be to prepare a release for Apache Directory
Server, which will take a bit more time (may be next week?)
Then once done, I intend to go for a Studio release, which is very
much needed...
Thanks!
