This sounds like quite a good idea of getting extra tools and templates out to end users. It would benefit them greatly. The problem lies in organising this. While it should be relatively easy to get a link put on the download page, what EXACTLY will be put in this package. What templates would you use, and who would choose this?
Right here, on this page, we could have either a link or a button to
"Download Extras". Perhaps a link next to it titled "What's this?" which
explains what's in the package.
This is a simple way to let people download a good quantity of extras to
improve OOo. It's easy to use, easy to find. And it doesn't impose an
undue burden on dialup users.
Also I'm not sure about ClipArt in such a package - would that not bloat it to quite large levels? Maybe a tie-up with ??OpenClipArt?? to get some sort of redirection to them if needed?
