I'm glad you have taken an interest in joining the distribution project, especially the P2P sub-project. As you may have noticed on the P2P web-pages, the main focus of P2P distribution has been through BitTorrent. Anyone can help distribute these by keeping up-to-date with the torrent that run through the OpenOffice.org BT server run by Mike. As he runs the technical side of things, if you are interested in making torrents of other languages of OOo you can coordinate with him. Also there are many suggestions on how to improve the BitTorrent service that have been provided by users - these will probably require some programming skills to solve.
There is also interest in distributing OOo through other P2P methods, although not as much so as with BitTorrent. You mentioned that you have skills with other P2P systems, and these skills would be gratefully appreciated in helping to spread OOo.

Hi, I have recently become a member of the OpenOffice.org community, and would love to join your project, and help spread OpenOffice.org through Peer To Peer Networks such as BitTorrent. I have used BitTorrent for an extensive time, and would love to help seed all versions of the OpenOffice.org suite. I am also very familiar with Gnutella 1 and Gnutella 2, and using magnet links on web sites to direct Peer To Peer programs on what file(s) to search for, so the user doesn't have to figure out what files they need.
