I tried to download the torrent for the openoffice 2 install cd
image, but receive a page not found.

I don't know where yuo got that link, but you should be using the p2p
downloads page on openoffice.org
(http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/index.html). That will give you
correct links ;) Direct links to the tracker maybe broken, as we're
currently migrating to different bittorrent tracker software.
The links on the p2p page haven't changed, as they refer to torrent
files on the webserver. This behaviour may however change in the near
future, but we'll try to keep the old links available for as long as
possible.
