Great. There has been a few DNS issues with the bouncer today, but these are just waiting to propagate through the whole DNS network to be fixed.

But we are still facing the tradeoff between being friendly to our users
(Bouncer links are the easiest and most efficient download method) and
being friendly to our marketing project (they need simple but accurate
download statistics for the Italian version, which we are unable to
access in Bouncer).

Does anybody know whether this problem (getting download figures for
localized versions) has been solved in the current Bouncer system? For
more details, see

As an admin of the bouncer I can tell that there have been 439,458 downloads of OpenOffice.org 2.2.0, however that cannot be broken down any further within the admin suite.

I have been speaking to Corey Shields. The Apache logs that are generated by the bouncer can be used to generate more useful information. The information can be broken down into the 3 variables that are used in the bouncer URLs. These are: the item to download, the language and the version.

These results could be produced on a regular basis. I don't know how or when they will be made available.

I hope this is of some help for you.

Shaun
