First of all, if this is the wrong list, I am sorry, but OpenOffice has so
many mailing lists that it is impossible to be sure of the right one.
Anyway...
My problems are:
1) The torrents on the CD download page
(http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/iso_downoad.html) do not work.
2) I found another torrent in Google. When I ran the Clip Art Windows
Installer (on XP SP2), I got a message saying that "The installer ... is
corrupted or incomplete ... possible to skip this check using the /NCRC
command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED)". Anyway, I tried the switch and the
installer ran, but it seems that it simply copied the clip art folders to
the hard disk. I was expecting some kind of "searchable" catalogue, but I
don't see any such thing.
Also, I assumed that in OpenOffice, "Insert -> Picture -> From File"
would work with these files. Wrong again. It does not seem to understand
SVG, or even the PNG thumbnails.
There are no instructions on the CD, but then again, it probably did not
"just work" because the iinstalller was corrupt. I suppose that I should
review my OpenOffice installation to see if I did a custom install and did
not include some optional image filters.
Please help me to download a CD that works.
