Apparently no typo? MacOS instead of MacOSX?
May I ask why the X was dropped?

the X is an indicator for the vesion of the OS. A least I have seen and understood this from here "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS";. It's not set because it's also not existing for the other platforms.

OOo_3.2.0_Solaris_x86_install-wJRE_en-US.tar.gz

It is planned to integrate the changes within the next 1-2 milestones. So,
if you think you are affected by this change and see obstacles please drop
me a mail.

Would it be possible to drop the ARCH-identifier for the
Mac-languagepacks? They don't contain any architecture specific stuff,
can be used on both PPC and Intel.

Please no, because it would be again an exception. We've tried hard to get rid of the already existing. This is a key feature for the improved policy.

Christian (who already sees hard times, convincing Mac Users that
Intel is now x86)

Hm, really? ;-)

Best regards

Marcus
