You can not download Base only from the mail web site, that only comes from the Ubuntu Repositories. Also the current version is 3.3.0 is all that is available on the main system, if you need an older version you will need to look in the archives, http://archive.services.openoffice.org/pub/openoffice-archive/stable/ .
