is that means no updates at all right? hm.. i'm getting used to CVS :)
Yes, that means no updates. If there are updates, you will see a U beside
each filename that is updated.
One method I use to see updates, if I am working on something and I come
back to
the work after a break of only a few hrs, is by viewing the documentation
project's cvs mail list. All changes in cvs are sent to this list. I find the
mail list cannot be searched, so this method is only practical if you are
checking on very recent updates, and if there have not been a huge number of
changes in the last few hours, but it works well for that to let you know
(manually) whether or not you need to update or checkout a file again before you
restart your work.
I definately understand the late night "gotta figure this out" mentality.
Last night for me was figuring out how to add CalDav functionality to
Jakarta-Slide, a webdav server. I am looking into setting up CalDav to work
as a Collaborative Scheduling system. ;-)
I understand this too. It is said that in the hours when the sun is down,
the
veil between the worlds of souls and humanity is at its thinnest, and we are
likely to see our most creative sides emerge during these times. In looking at
my own adventures, I have accomplished some pretty cool things in the wee hrs of
the morn, so I can allow my mind to be open to this theory. I always try to
follow the whimsical thoughts that haunt my brain, because I figure there is
some special energy to those thoughts that won't let you rest... I tend to
encourage pursuit of such thoughts. You won't know what will come of them until
you follow them through.
