Excuse me, I was under the impression that OOoAuthors is where most of the docs were being developed (for later inclusion on the Docs site), and that you and Scott were happy with this arrangement.
Given my impression of the role of OOoAuthors, then it's perfectly reasonable to answer a question on Docs with information about alternative ways to contribute to documentation.
If my impression is incorrect, or seriously different from yours (as it appears to be from your response), then we'd better discuss this further, to avoid future misunderstandings.
