Hi, Uwe and myself* are going to visit OOocon in Lyon in September and we would like to meet as many of you as possible to discuss the future of OOo product documentation, particularly the future of the online help.
For this purpose, we would like to hold a BOF session at the conference where we can discuss related issues. The main focus will be online help but we think it makes sense to talk about other areas of collaboration, too. Is anyone of you planning to hand in a proposal for a session at OOoCon 2006 that deals with OOo documentation? If not, would you support a BOF about online help (and more)? Are there any specific topics you would like to see addressed? * For those who don't know us: Uwe is a technical writer on the OpenOffice.org/StarOffice documentation team and he is the wizard of online help. All complaints and bugs go to him and he basically writes the help. I am the manager of the team and I maintain the xhp format, and some tooling around it. We both work for Sun Microsystems in Hamburg.
