Hi, I'm wanting to help with some documentation if possible. I'm not
sure quite what I want to tackle, or how much time I can devote yet, but
I'd like to sink my teeth into some "real" documentation.
A bit more about me: I'm a PC guy: Windows for client stuff (games,
writing) and Linux for server stuff, but don't have a bias against other
platforms. Use the right platform for the job, I say. I've been a
network administrator, systems administrator, tech support rep, game
tester, and other, mostly computer-related, jobs. I'm currently working
on an AA in English pursuant to getting a BA in the same field, then I
want to get a certification of some sort in technical writing and do
that as a career "when I grow up." Of course, being 38, I'm supposed to
have already grown up, but this is how my midlife crisis seems to have
manifested itself...
I have a couple of blogs, but my "professional" one is at:
http://techlish.livejournal.com
I'm reading through some of the existing works to get a feel for the
kind of work that's been done and is expected, so I'll get back to the
list here when I have questions or ideas about what I'd like to work on.
Thanks,
-Brant
