I have just now joined this list and noticed the discussion of current versions being used. I thought I should mention that I'm still using 1.1.3. My main box is running debian (sarge). Later versions of OO are still unstable on debian, with some significant issues still being reported. I'm not sure how I might fit in with this project. I have developed (and continue to develop) templates of legal forms. My OO templates are of a simple nature, png images of the forms in the background with text boxes for input.

A few years ago I was working as an Informix 4GL application developer and was looking into porting our system over to PHP with Postgresql. The application was a relatively complex legal case management system for Worker's Compensation cases. I used OpenOffice (and Word) for the document portion of the system and created "mail merge" macros for required reports, letters and forms. The company, Attorney Management Solutions, folded because of a severe illness suffered by the owner so the PHP port was never released.

Since then I have made the templates available on-line. MS Word versions may be purchased through PayPal buttons and OpenOffice versions may be downloaded for free (I do have a donation button, however). My hope is to establish connections and perhaps share links with both the OpenOffice community as well as those requiring the forms I offer. I do hope the financial nature of my site is not too distasteful to the OpenOffice community (I only charge for the MS Word versions). You may visit my site at http://bscottholmes.com/

I submitted a template to the current contest, it too may be found at http://bscottholmes.com/WCAB/viewform.php/cms1500/

Thanks...
