Sorry Nancy, but many of us feel quite strongly about getting facts right. The 
way we speak affects people's perceptions, and if we start telling folks that 
MSO is an industry standard they will believe it. The fact is that MS 
completely ignore standards, and when standards are created, MS go about 
undermining these and abusing their power to create a 'de-facto standard'. 
Their success in this is reflected in your choice of words.
I don't want my ideas dismissed as 'splitting hairs' when it clearly isn't the 
case.

I never said I dislike MS, or that you were glorifying them.

Why did you say anything about user-friendliness? Do you think that OOo is not 
perceived (sic) as user friendly?
