Actually, it's worse than that. Since the response is to ask for a paaword, not the passphrase, that indicates that the connection has failed right from the outset. My recommendation would be to generate a new key pair. Open an issue and attach the new public key, then email Louis (and possibly put him in the CC field of the issue) explaining what has happened with the keys.
