I could not speak for the manual but for the setup guide.
Gerry was the initial author of this document, I think we could put this
(bold italic):
"In memory of Roderick G. Singleton ( 2007) for starting this document
and all the work he has done as Co-Lead of the documentation project. We
will miss You."
as first entry in the section 'Acknowledgements'.
No black border or gothic font, because I think this is nothing Gerry
wanted. He always take care of clear design and style without stylistic
inconsistencies.
If You agree, I will pu it on the next revision of the setup guide.
