Hello, you noble workhorses. I've been staying pretty current with the forum, but so far there's been no real straightforward way for me to contribute. I am very busy with other worthwhile stuff, and am looking to streamline my efforts. I don't want to give up on helping out with OOo, but the chances of my getting up to speed any time soon on the software end of things is pretty slim. So I'll have to stick with what I've always been good at, which is copyediting.
I am going to unsubscribe to the list. My hope is that one or more of you will keep my address handy ([EMAIL PROTECTED]), and when you have something that just needs cleaning up, or, as was mentioned recently, you need a thorough threshing of a tutorial by someone who's pretty new to OOo, and who likes nothing better than being able to understand every little thing, please let me know. I do have time to help; I just don't want to spend the time sifting through all the things I can't even understand, let alone help with! So. I hope this isn't really goodbye. Lest it is, I will say now that it is projects like OOo, Linux, and Mozilla that prove to me, when I'm inclined to doubt, that humans can be great, integrated, generous creatures. I admire and respect everyone who contributes what she has to contribute, to make the world a better place, and OOo is replete with you. With us, I mean. Keep up the good works. Thanks. Kirsten
